Terms of Service

1. The Service

Halvway helps two people who live in different cities find places to meet in between, by comparing return flight prices and how evenly travel is split. Halvway is an information and planning tool only: we are not a travel agency, tour operator or airline, we do not sell tickets, and we are not a party to any booking you make with a third party.

2. Accounts

You must be at least 16 years old to use the Service. You are responsible for the accuracy of your account details and for keeping your credentials confidential. You may close your account at any time.

3. Acceptable use

• Do not harass, impersonate or send unsolicited messages or invitations to others.
• Do not upload unlawful, infringing or harmful content.
• Do not scrape, overload, reverse engineer or attempt to gain unauthorised access to the Service or its API.
• Use the public API only within its documented limits.

We may suspend or terminate accounts that breach these Terms or applicable law.

4. User content

You retain ownership of the content you submit, such as your profile details and trip messages. You grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide licence to host, store and display that content solely to operate and improve the Service. Share links you create grant view access to anyone holding the link.

5. Prices and availability

Flight prices, durations and rankings are estimates or cached third-party data and may be inaccurate or outdated. Always verify the final price, schedule, baggage rules and entry requirements with the airline or booking provider before purchasing.

6. Fees and right of withdrawal

The Service is currently provided free of charge. If we introduce paid features, we will state prices including applicable VAT before you commit. Consumers in the EU have a 14-day right of withdrawal for paid digital services under Directive 2011/83/EU; where you ask us to start performance immediately and acknowledge the loss of that right, it may expire early.

7. Liability

We provide the Service with reasonable care but do not warrant that it will be uninterrupted or error-free. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, intent, gross negligence, or your statutory consumer rights. Subject to that, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, or for travel arrangements you make with third parties.

8. Changes and termination

We may modify the Service or these Terms; we will notify you of material changes in advance, and continued use after they take effect constitutes acceptance. You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time.

9. Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws applicable to Colab Solutions LLC's place of business, without prejudice to the mandatory consumer protection rules of your country of residence in the EU, which continue to apply. EU consumers may also use the European Commission's online dispute resolution platform.
